Summer Solstice Midnight Sun - 24 hours of daylight at Eagle Summit Alaska

Fairbanks, Alaska may have the ’midnight sun’, but the Arctic Circle experiences full 24-hour days of sunlight each summer. At Eagle Summit on the Steese Highway (~2.5 hour drive from Fairbanks), you can experience a night with no sunset, and a full 24 hours of daylight. This video was captured the night of June 25-26, several days after summer solstice, in order to wait for clear weather. Eagle Summit (~3,600 ft) is one of the closest spots relative to Fairbanks, where the sun truly does not set on the
