Supergirl — Warrior Cats Squirrelflight PMV

Based on book series “Warrior Cats” by Erin Hunter… Ooookay, so it’s done. IT’S DONE, AAA IT’S DONE!! It took me just a bit over a month, but I spent every single free minute during my class sketching the storyboards. The whole weekends I worked on coloring it in digital and animating, AND NOW IT’S FINISHED! I’m so happyyyyy🎉 So, I got really inspired by some Warrior Cats artists during the last few months, noticed how much popularity such PMVs can get, and decided to try it out myself :) ✰ ✰ ✰ First of all, I used my chibi style, not the main one for this project. As you can see in most my videos, my everyday style is super complicated: kind of cubic, extremely detailed and taking long to draw and animate in!😅 Sometimes I even doubt if it was a good idea to make it that weird, sometimes I wish I started to animate in something similar to Louixies style from the very beginning…🥹 So now I used this project as a possibility to try something new, maybe me and my audience will enjoy this style even better! it’s easier to tween for future experience, hehehe😈 Second of all, as you see, I decided to draw in an unlined style. I noticed that it’s pretty popular nowadays, plus it is my favorite one I ever had, LOL. And fits the new chibi proportions better as well! :D Third thing… I KNOW, I USUALLY I DO BETTER IN ANIMATING! Like, check out these vids: I always get the tweening and effects to perfect, spend days redoing the puppet… but here, as I already told, I’m trying something new. PMVs similar to this one don’t usually even have insides movement, just some scenes appearing to the music. That’s what I wanted to do. Basically, it’s like looking through a comic book, just some extra effects and text dynamism for atmosphere!😉 (And let’s consider the fact that this animation already includes hell of drawing, I would die if I had to tween that all!!)💀 Also, question of life and death, was I really supposed to handmake the subtitles? Like, I literally spent hours on it, trying to find the right frame for a word to appear in…😰 I feel kinda stupid, what if the program could do the text for me in a minute?🗿 ✧————————————✧ Thank you, Patrons!!🥹 - @stellar_salad Previously: - @bbymay4228 - @minyanin@mirumi_mentola3981 Your support means so much to me!🫶 Patreon: ✰ ✰ ✰ Song: “Supergirl” by Anna Naklab (Radio Edit) Of course, I can’t say that the text of this song perfectly fits to the idea of the animation, but I think the topic is slightly related!) ‼️Also, for those who don’t have a fresh memory of this story in Warrior cats: 1️⃣ On the first scene the animation shows how Squirrelflight replies to Ashfur that his love is not mutual, instead chooses Brambleclaw. 2️⃣ The second scene shows how Leafpool tells Squirrelflight about her having kits and begs to cover her up. Squirrelflight was first shocked, but eventually agreed to take the kits as her own. 3️⃣ The third scene shows the famous situation of Squirrelflight and Ashfur in the fire. Squirrelflight tells Hollyleaf, Lionblaze, and Jayfeather to run away, and as she is about to follow, Ashfur appears out of the fire, causing Sauirrelflight to confess the truth about the kits. 4️⃣,5️⃣,6️⃣… In the leftover scenes, the animation shows how Hollyleaf, Lionblaze, and Jayfeather are devastated by the information as well as Squirrelflight. She refused to tell them who their real parent is, and seems like the kits were to hate Squirrelflight forever. They walk home, like if nothing happened, and Squirrelflight, as always, spends the night with her mate without telling anything. Even though from now on Hollyleaf gives Squirrelflight a furious look every time, the life continues, nobody figures out yet… OOKAY, I’M SORRY, seems like it’s kind of an AU now!😭 I hope you don’t mind The Warrior Cats designs that I used: I’ll be happy if you check them out, it took me quite a while to make those!
