Russia against the oldest ethnic Muslim people in Europe: Crimean Tatars

Imagine that one day armed foreigners come to your house, evict you, forcibly load you into wagons and deport you without food and water to a foreign country, taking your house. Sound creepy? Implausible? However, Russia has been doing this for centuries with those it contemptuously calls “small nations.“ What Russia intends to do to the Ukrainian people today, it has done to others many times. The genocide of the Tatars is one of the most vile and darkest examples of such an imperialist policy. Forced eviction, artificially imposed famine, language, religious and cultural repression, prohibition of public activities and physical destruction - all this was applied to the Tatar people. During all the years of its independence, Ukraine used to be a friend of the Tatar people and respected their identity. Russia, on the other hand, oppressed, limited and destroyed Tatars for centuries, depriving them of rights and freedoms, being guided only by its imperial ambitions and spitting on people’s lives.
