Ruth Negga’s Guide to Both Craft & Career: ‘Stay Curious’

Ruth Negga has had a clear mission statement since her early days as an actor: “What I wanted as an artist was to sort of shift things—disrupt, maybe,” says the Irish star, illuminating for listeners the nuances of her creative process. Curiosity and quiet introspection are key ingredients, she says, and fellow actors should find their particular means of inspiration. “Acting isn’t just a job for me. It’s a soul vocation.
