Barracudas Of Malgrats

Malgrats Marine Reserve The marine area around the Malgrats islands (Calvia, Mallorca) and close by waters off the coast, have a high ecological value also for fishing because of its diversity of habitats, benthic communities and local fish. The meadows of seagrass (Posidonia oceanica) occupy large areas. The islands are located in the municipality of Calvia, in front of the bay of Santa Ponsa. Also interesting to know is that the islands itself have been declared as a special protected area for birds as various big birds choose the island for nesting. Thanks to
