Bell X-2 & Colonel Frank Everest Newsreel - 1956

Any footage of the X-2 is rare, as both aircraft’s lives were cut very short. Not long after Col. Everest’s record breaking flight, Capt. Milburn Apt broke that record, but died in the crash of the second aircraft. Thus, Everest’s title was changed from “Fastest Man in the World“, to “Fastest Man Alive“.
