UPDATE: HOLY CRAP! Julie saw ’m still in shock, you guys. Thank you SO much for all your wonderful comments. It’s nice to know that a lot of people care about the same thing you do. Even though I wasn’t entirely happy with this episode, anything involving Alaric made me cry. The Dalaric scenes were amazing and so were the Elena/Jeremy/Alaric scenes. I always thought of them as a twisted, dysfunctional family unit at times and I truly believe that these three were the only ones that were greatly affected by Alaric’s death in the episode. Yes. Alaric did turn into a vampire, but the good Alaric, the one that was Damon’s best friend and Elena and Jeremy’s guardian is gone. And it killed me :(
