Item title reads - Outpost of Empire. War memorial of tiny township of Ross unveiled with simple ceremony by His Excellency Sir James O’Grady, our only Socialist Governor-General. Tasmania. Australia. L/S as Sir James’s car drives to Ross accompanied by mounted soldiers, it comes to a stop and he climbs out with a military officer. M/S of him talking to other soldiers, M/S as he inspects a line of them. One officer salutes and they shake hands. M/S of Sir James making a speech.
