Kyrie Eleison - Vierne

A few months ago we had the privilege of performing at Eglise Saint-Eustache in Paris, as part of our 200th-anniversary, European Choir tour. One of the pieces the choir sung was a prayer to God crying out for His mercy- the Kyrie from Vierne’s Messe Solennelle. Singing in the UK, France and Italy, literally a couple of weeks before the Coronavirus hit was an immensely moving experience for us all. In the lead up to Easter we are reminded of the immense love God has for us seen through the death and resurrection of Jesus. Knowing this love that God has for the whole world, we pray to Him for France, a country already so devastated already by this disease, as well as for Australia, and the whole world as we fight this virus. Our prayer for France, Italy, Spain, the UK and our own land of Australia is: Lord have mercy, Christ have mercy, Lord have mercy. Amen.
