The New Power Generation - Get Wild [1994]

Get Wild was first released as the twelfth track on the Prêt A Porter movie soundtrack, and three months later was included (in an alternate mix) as the second track (first song) on the New Power Generation’s second ’solo’ album Exodus. A week prior to the Exodus album release, Get Wild was released as the album’s first single in the UK and Europe. The single contained various remixes. When played live, Prince (as ) often stated that Sonny T. wrote the track, but Prince and Sonny T. share the credits. Basic tracking took place on 15 May 1994 at Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota (on the same day as New Power Soul, The Exodus Has Begun, Hallucination Rain, Slave 2 The System, Count The Days and It Takes 3). It is likely that the Exodus album version and other remixes were developed later, but dates are unknown.
