Introduced in 1978, the 323i was available as a two door coupe, and was powered by BMW’s M20B23 engine. This inline six engine generated 141hp sent to the rear wheels via four or five speed manual transmissions. Production of the E21 323i ended in 1982, but the model series continued life in the next generation E30 BMW 3 Series.
