How to make a journal with a cloth cover and paper signatures. This is Part One, showing all stages up to binding the paper signatures into the inner cover.
My cover piece measures total 18“ x 8“ including as follows : front cover and back covers 8“ high by 6“ wide, 2“ wide spine and 4“ wide wrap around. It was made using the same technique as in my Cloth Pouch video.
I used five signatures of paper measuring 7“ high by 10“ wide (5“ when folded). 4 signatures have 5 sheets each and the 5th has 6 sheets, total 26 sheets. I plan to use mine to house my weekly slowstitch pieces to be made in 2024.
