Shakuhachi in Prague

The Czech shakuhachi pioneer, composer and ethnomusicologist Vlastislav Matoušek and professional shakuhachi player Christopher Yohmei Blasdel tell their story and perspective on the old Japanese flute, its music and how it attracted. The documentary was created in 2014 by Vishai Vittal at the Prague Shakuhachi Festival 2014, festival dedicated to Japanese and contemporary music. It mentions selection of Prague to be the host the World Shakuhachi Festival, in the course events Prague hosts International Shakuhachi Festival Prague in its stead.
