Albert Hall Hat (1957)

London. Various shots of top milliner Aage Thaarup sitting on the steps of the Albert Memorial with a girl; he is sketching a hat in the shape of the Royal Albert Hall, seen opposite in L/S. Several shots at Aage’s workrooms in Chelsea show the hat being made by Aage and a woman assistant; Aage puts the finished hat into a hatbox with tissue paper. He then takes the hat to the girl at the Albert Memorial; nice M/S of him waiting on the steps while she rushes up to meet him. He shows her the hat and puts it on her head - it does look quite like the Albert Hall! Note: on file is a magazine article about Aage and the making of this hat - for a different girl!
