Shift Line OLYMPIC MkIIIS | direct recording sound examples with Pavel Paukov

The Shift Line OLYMPIC MkIIIS is a tube bass preamplifier with built-in IR-based cabinet simulation. All sound examples in the video were recorded directly into an audio interface through the Olympic MkIIIS preamp. No physical cabinets are used. The recording chain is as follows: bass — Olympic MkIIIS preamp with IR-based cabsim — audio interface. A bit of transparent compression is used in post-processing to boost output volume. The impulses used in the video are standard ones that come with the preamp.
