Venezuela Welcomes Arrival of Medicine from China

Venezuela’s government, which deployed soldiers on the border to prevent the opposition from bringing in U.S. humanitarian assistance last month, received a shipment of aid on Friday, March 29, from its ally China. Venezuela’s Industries Minister Tareck el Aissami was on hand to receive the shipment. He told reporters that the shipment would be the first of various that would guarantee a supply of medical items for Venezuela. (Reuters)
