Jimmy is one of a kind. I grew up with him, spent every moment I could with him playing video games, sports, knock a door and run… We discovered trance music together… Basically he’s a brother from another mother 🤝 Unfortunately, at the start of 2022, Jim was diagnosed with cancer (Leukaemia). He was so incredibly ill at the time that Doctors said he was “days away from it being too late.” Age 30, he was a healthy, athletic guy - no one had ever imagined that or expected it. Jimmy spent the second half of that year fighting for his life in hospital. It blows my mind the trials that he had to endure and overcome during the course of his treatment. Jimmy went through multiple rounds of chemotherapy leading up to a bone marrow transplant in January 2023. Honestly, we were all staying positive and praying hard for Jimmy but things were not looking hopeful. In May 2023, Jimmy had his first set of biopsy results that came back as positive - the cancer was still present. We were devastated and it really felt like all hope was lost. A few weeks later, another biopsy was carried out to be sure and another bone marrow transplant was scheduled but miraculously, the new results came back with the best news - Jim was given the all clear! He’s since had three more ’all clear’ results. Jimmy defied death and I am so thankful to have my best friend still here with me. His story is incredibly inspiring and I am so proud of him. ‘Warrior’ is a small tribute to Jimmy - he is literally a warrior and a champion. His fight is one of the most inspiring things I think I will witness in my lifetime ♥️ All royalties earned from the single release will be donated to Leukaemia UK.
