Steam Locomotive 3801 - Official Relaunch Weekend, 12th to 14th March 2021

A Legend of Steam has returned to the tracks! Across 3 days, from Friday 12th March to Sunday 14th March 2021, the NSW Rail Museum and Transport Heritage NSW hosted iconic Steam Locomotive 3801’s Relaunch event at Central Station. This event was initially planned for March 2020, however it had to be postponed due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. On Friday 12th March, 3801 had a Media Run to commemorate it’s return. The Locomotive had a parallel run with Red Rattler Set ’F1’ from Central to Strathfield, then 3801 continued onto Rhodes, before returning to Central.
