Cervetto gamba sonata - Andante grazioso | Sam Stadlen & Michael Jarvis

Just before my tour in Canada was cut short by the coronavirus pandemic, a bit of an informal play-through of some later repertoire for the gamba led to a couple of videos. This one is the opening Andante Grazioso from Cervetto’s cello sonata in G major, arranged for gamba some time towards the end of the 18th Century.
