Compassion in Buddhist Practice: Compassion is the basis of all the good human qualities, particularly moral ethics. Although we all have the ability to show compassion to ourselves and others, still these can be enhanced through practising it again and again not only in religious places but in everyday life.
Geshe Tashi Tsering was born in Tibet 1958. He studied Buddhism at Sera-Mey Monastic University in India for 18 years and was awarded the Lharampa Geshe degree (the equivalent of a doctorate in divinity). Since 1994 he has been the teacher at the Jamyang Buddhist Centre in London and he also leads Buddhist classes in other centres in the UK and in other countries. He created the Foundation of Buddhist Thought, a two year Buddhist studies course, which runs online and on campus.
