Meet a Poet: Elaine Equi

Elaine Equi, author of ten poetry collections like Voice-Over and Ripple Effect, has been recognized with awards and featured in notable journals and anthologies including The New Yorker and The Best American Poetry. Known for her witty, minimalist style influenced by surrealism and classical Chinese poetry, Equi has also taught creative writing at Columbia College, NYU, and The New School. In 2023, she guest edited Best American Poetry.
