Man in his 40s shot dead in rush hour attack as cops hunt killer

A man has died after a shooting in broad daylight in North London - with police launching a manhunt for the killer. The incident occurred in Tottenham at 9am today as people were going to work. Police officers and paramedics rushed to the scene in Waltheof Gardens near Smithson Road and found a man with a gunshot injury, the Met has said. However, the patient, in his 40s, was pronounced dead shortly after. No arrests have been made as police enquiries are ongoing, the Met has said. An investigation has since been launched and a crime scene remains in place. His next of kin has been informed. Forensic officers have been collecting evidence in bags.
