From the Film Australia Collection of the National Film and Sound Archive. Made by the Commonwealth Film Unit 1965. Directed by Barrie Smith. Features the industries from west of Longreach in Central Queensland to Rockhampton and Gladstone on the coast. Subjects covered include sheep and wool, cattle, open cut mining for coal, copper and gold, ore smelting and collection of salt.
