From “The Pianist“: Chopin Ballade no. 1 op. 23 in G minor (Michiel Roosen)

This Ballade of Chopin from movie “The Pianist“ is played by Michiel Roosen on a Yamaha grand piano C3. As a short introduction, the video starts with a scene from the movie “The Pianist“. During this scene, Szpilman has to play for the german SS captain Hosenfeld. I think this is the most beautiful and maybe emotional scene of the movie. This Ballade of Chopin is in my opinion a good reflection of all Szpilman’s emotions and experiences during that period of the second world war.
