Why? Because they require a lot less effort when compared to block starts. Less effort = more reps. 3 point starts will help you sprint faster IF you perform them correctly,
By incorporating 3 point starts into your training you are able to get a lot of quality reps while still accomplishing many of the same things you get from the blocks. Using the technique in this video will also help other athletes such as football players run faster in the 40 yard dash.
