I’m playing this song as a tribute to the sad loss of Tina Turner who passed away on 24th May 2023. She was a fantastic singer and will be sadly missed. “The Best” was originally a Bonnie Tyler song. Tina’s cover was released in 1989 for her seventh studio album, Foreign Affair. It became an international chart hit, reaching Platinum certification in the UK. In 1992, Tina re-recorded the track as a duet with Australian singer Jimmy Barnes. Played on my Alan Brason Custom Stratocaster fitted with Kinman FV-HMS pickups on Bridge position into an Alesis Quadraverb Q2 with EFTP patch 0-36. I used a Jeds Peds Fuzz No 44 (Which I built from a kit) for the distorted 2nd half.
