Commission of Inquiry into Money Laundering in British Columbia: BC Law Society

On 24 February, 2020, Ludmila B. Herbst, Q.C., representing all lawyers practising in British Columbia, was asked by Commissioner Cullen on the role lawyers play in money laundering and whether they should be externally regulated like many other fields. Ms. Herbst suggested that is not necessary, and should the legislature attempt to make it so, the government can expect to get sued. Apologies for the February typo in the video.
