Swan Upping (1960-1969)

Location: Windsor, Berkshire and London Various shots of men wrestling and jumping into the river at Henley on the River Thames. They are fooling around, throwing water at each other. Various shots of the River Thames swan masters organising and marking swans around the river. Men are seen in their small boats, looking for swans. Their duty is to count and mark the swans as well as to distribute them evenly along the river so they have enough space and food. Several shots of the men handling swan. Several Shots of the men releasing swans and cygnets into water. They make there way along the River and end up near the Palace of Westminster. They enjoy a drink while sitting in their boat and at a public house. They sing and dance outside the pub. More shots of them rowing off near Windsor Castle.
