Carnatic Scat Singing #3 A few months ago, I got an opportunity to meet our dear brother Eugene Skeefin London, along with Chakrafonics. In the many interesting conversations that we had that day, we learnt many facts about the History of Jazz and Jazz legends. That was when I expressed to Eugene my wish to learn how to understand and appreciate the nuances of Jazz music and he suggested that I study John Coltrane’s masterpiece ’Giant steps’, which he considers to be one of the greatest compositions and solos till now. It has been an enlightening experience for me, to indulge in this wonderful creation. Thanks for leading me here, Eugene. Dear friends, here is my humble attempt in singing John Coltrane’s solo from ’Giant steps’. Please don’t mind me closing my eyes almost throughout the video! That is me trying to concentrate :)
