Touching the British monarch is considered a serious breach of royal etiquette. By established custom, one is not supposed to touch the King unless he initiates it. The only exception is a handshake, if the monarch offers his hand. In all other cases, the proper gesture is a light bow or a nod. Trump obviously doesn’t give a damn about royal etiquette — and frankly, why should he?
