N. Korean hacking organization steals key defense technology data

北해킹조직 ’안다리엘’, 국내 핵심 방산기술 빼돌렸다 Police here in the country say, that a North Korean hacking organization known as “Andariel“ has stolen sensitive technological data from South Korean companies and extorted thousands of dollars in Bitcoin. The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency said on Monday that it has launched a joint investigation with the FBI. The police said, that Andariel hacked domestic companies such as defense firms and research institutions and stole around 1-point-2 terabytes of key defense technology data, potentially jeopardizing the country’s national security.
