X-Files- A Long Way // (William, Emily, Scully, Mulder)

A Huge Thanks XFN, so much LOVE!! (**also want to note that I made this vid because of Sabrina, after the tweet-a-thon I knew you needed another fresh William vid- thankyou sweetie for all your support!!) if u are of a tender-hearted constitution, u may want to skip this one- I couldn’t fault you, this whole topic breaks, squishes, lights on fire, and throws out a window my heart, but that never stopped me from vidding something ;) its often said that the worst thing anyone can go through is the loss of a child, and then I think about poor Scully losing not just one, but like that wld send any mere mortal straight to the crazy it was my impression that the IWTB Scully seemed strangely disconnected and adrift in that entire movie, and that made a lot of sense to me in that light. I think by the time of IWTB, William had replaced Samantha as the absent presence-- the unseen subject that the action revolves around. There were so many indirect references to William in that movie (how painful was it that we all knew that Scully knew PERFECTLY what its like to not want to put a child through hell in that scene with the mother of the sick boy) and by the end of the movie- that she decides to go ahead and treat that boy anyway to me was a very subtle statement on the fact that she had changed her mind about her decision to give William up-- it was all in the subtext with IWTB..... I have done some ’William’ vids before, so some of the scenes I have used before, but this is my imagining of Scully’s psychic scars regarding this topic- a meditation on it. I used a lot of windows/looking out windows scenes as a metaphor for being kind of trapped if u go back and rewatch XF, starting in about season 3, they start making some clear references to Scully, her faith, and what will become her larger role in the scheme of included some of those, but there are enough for like two more vids at least... I know some ppl don’t like the William arc at all, but I appreciate that its so integrated in the series as a like they had...*gasp*...PLANNED it that way!! However, if they don’t do something to rectify this heartache for my girl Scully, words can’t describe how pissed I’m gonna be!!! LOL! one more thing- I had a couple sound issues so plz forgive me those- working with so much audio is a real nightmare!!
