The Car of the Future in 1956 - Firebird II

GM wondered what the car of the future would be like. But they asked the Design Staff and Engineers to let their imaginations go wild and being enamored with the jet age they developed a series of turbine powered, jet like cars they called the Firebirds. The body was lightweight and strong titanium and its streamlined design was unlike anything else.
