This video release is an academic proof of concept. Using consumer grade software and an existing standard definition video as the source, the result is a more watchable A.I. “upscaled“ 4K product. Audio has also been processed to create a stereo field, providing a wider stage for instruments to be heard. A gentle EQ was also applied to take advantage of modern home theater systems. The overarching intent is to provide a more watchable and listenable product in the hope it will reach a new audience; which in turn can create the demand to properly restore these films to their former vibrant glory to be enjoyed for generations to come.
