Stem-Mastering : the benefits

If you need a good mastering but you also think your mix can be a bit improved, use the “stem-mastering” option. It consist of exporting groups of instruments (Drums, Bass, Guitars, Additional Guitars, Keyboards, Vocals, …) that will be mastered together on separate tracks, to allow the engineer to have more control and focus on each instrument. In the case where the vocals need a bit more de-essing, it can be applied on this particular track only, to avoid removing some brillance on the cymbals per example.
