How I Learned to Stop Giving a Shit (and Love Mindless Self Indulgence) is MSI’s 5th and last full LP featuring Little Jimmy Urine, Steve Righ?, Kitty, and Lyn-z. I’ve added a few bonus songs from different versions of the album, which funny enough almost doubles the length of the album so that’s cool. This album started as a Kickstarter funded project where Jimmy got and camera and held the album ransom. The track “You’re No Fun Anymore Mark Trezona“ was named after a backer who donated $5,000 (I think). The album came out with positive reviews but most would agree that the lyrics were missing something, perhaps Jimmy’s Boomer age was catching up with him. Will there ever be another MSI album in our lives? Who knows, the band was set to go on hiatus for a couple of years. Pink was Released as something to fill the time, a Comp album of the stuff Jimmy made before “Tight“ but never made it to the Self Titled album. Then I assume Jimmy got busy with his Solo album EURINGER. MSI could of been on track to start work on a new album in 2020 but 2020 did what 2020 dose, and then the Lawsuit, forever trapping MSI in 2000s MySpace history.
