We begin today in Ukraine, where Russian missiles hit the capital Kyiv, injuring at least 53, with no reported deaths so far. The air strike early on Wednesday morning took place as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy left the U.S. after seeking additional military support. At around three am local time, ten ballistic missiles launched from Russia were picked up by Kyiv’s air defense system. The Ukrainian air force said that the Russian missiles were all intercepted, but the debris landed on residential areas including a children’s hospital. Kyiv has been constantly receiving drone attacks recently, and this was the third missile strike on the capital in the past week.
