MUSAS Podcast Series #01 | BIXBITA Dj Set

MUSAS Podcast Series is a series of DJ sets where I’m gonna experiment with mixing fresh and groovy hard techno tunes. In each episode I will introduce different female artists, my own muses, either on electronic music or other styles, aiming to claim female presence and visibility in the music industry. First episode introduces the electronic music pioneer Daphne Oram. Is not really well known, but just before Bob Moog created his first synthesizer in 1963, Daphne Oram had already created her synthesizer called Oramics in 1957. Mixing in the set one of her songs produced around the 60-70’s is my little tribute to all the female pioneers of electronic music, who probably because being women, sadly they didn’t have the recognition they deserved.
