Kyokushin karate technique for moving opponent’s guard to create opening

A head instructor demonstrates a technique to the Japanese national Kyokushin Karate team during preparation for the 8th World Open Kyokushin Tournament. Apart from the beauty of the technique, I am also moved by the fact that the karateka that the instructor is demonstrating on is completely unflinching as the instructor pounds away on him. I had always heard that instructors in Japan hit their advanced students pretty hard during instruction. Most American karateka do not experience this style of instruction because it would likely lead to complaints and drive away business from the dojo. Osu!
