New footage as details emerge of train cat tragedy

The tragic tale of Twix the Cat, the unfortunate cat banished from a train despite having a ticket, has reached its sad, inevitable conclusion. Twix was found dead after being mistaken for a stray and dumped outside, alone, at Kirov station. An investigation into the tragedy revealed the cavalcade of errors that led to an unnecessary death. January 10, 2113 hrs – Twix the Cat boards the train with his owner. Documents checked. Situation: normal. January 11, 1214 hrs – Train arrives at Kirov. Twix’s owner briefly leaves the train for some fresh air. January 11, 1220 hrs – Owner returns. Owner retires to the upper bunk. January 11, 1223 hrs – Twix escapes from cage. Twix condition: curious. Owner condition: uninterested in escape. Many pets are received from fellow passengers. January 11, 1235 hrs – Unidentified passenger spots Twix. Unclear of the cat’s history, begins demanding information from other passengers. Passengers unable to divulge cat’s origin. January 11, 1235 hrs part 2 – Passenger informs conductor of ‘lost’ cat. January 11, 2023 hrs – 7.5 hrs later, owner of Twix discovers Twix to be missing. 7.5 hrs later, the conductor finally realizes his mistake. The conductor of the train was temporarily suspended over the death of Twix, while Russian Railways made changes to their procedures surrounding animals suspected of not having a ticket. It is hoped that these measures, which include not dumping animals out of the train on the word of one clueless passenger, will help avoid further tragedies. RIP Twix. You were a good cat.
