SOUNDBITE (English) Mick Jagger, recording artist: “It felt good you know, I mean, we’ve been looking for that for a long time. Made the album thing offensive February. I mean, had to wait a long time for it to get all the bits and pieces together to put it out. And so we’re very excited about it. So it’s great to be doing it in London and it feels really very good.” (Reporter: “Was it hard to keep a secret because fans can crack codes can’t they. How was it to keep under your hat for so long?”) Jagger: “We just I’m surprised we managed to because, you know, normally Ronnie talks to everyone about everything, so ’Ronnie you can’t talk about this album.’ So, I mean, you can say we’ve been recording, but. No. And it was hard to keep it all under your hat.” 3. SOUNDBITE (English) Ronnie Wood, recording artist: “Oh, yeah. It’s so frustrating. I just want everyone to have a copy of it, you know? And yeah, it is a very difficult thing to think of something else. You know, you can’t talk about the album because they can’t hear the music yet. Yeah.” (Reporter: “And how does it feel to, like, launch it here today with everyone? And obviously you’ve got really excited fans everywhere.” Wood: “Yeah, I really feel satisfaction of relief of ’Yes, at last people can hear this baby we’ve been working on,’ you know, we love it.” 4. Wide of Keith Richards SOUNDBITE (English) Keith Richards, recording artist: “Sometimes things just happen. And I think it was because we were on the road and Mick has some stuff and said, ’It’s time, you know, if we’re going to do one, let’s do it now.’ So we sort of blitzkrieg this one. You know, it’s like energy, urgency. I know when you have a singer that wants to sing, then you grab him and throw him in the studio. I mean, that’s probably the reason there was no particular now or it’s just that’s what happened, you know? I mean, the Stones are weird, right?” 5. Cutaway Jagger 6. Cutaway Wood 7. SOUNDBITE (English) Keith Richards, recording artist: “We have Stevie Wonder, Lady Gaga is on there. Sir Paul (McCartney). Macca turned up as well. So, yeah, but it just so happened, Andrew Watt, the producer, that he was making records with these people and they just sort of like, ’OK, come on by,’ you know. And we had worked with Lady Gaga before and we were on the road with Stevie Wonder in the seventies. So, I mean, all of them have, like, nothing new, so, ’Come on in if you’ve got anything to offer,’ you know, I think.” 8. SOUNDBITE (English) Ronnie Wood, recording artist: “It’s a wonderful collaboration. But the main thing is that the boat was pushed off shore by the band and anybody wanting to jump on was fine. But the thing is, we have to keep the core of the band going, which is. You know, rocking.” (Reporter: “It must have been bittersweet without Charlie.“) Jagger: “Well, yeah, it was difficult, but we remember - we had done two tours with him, so going to the studio was an extension of that. And you know, you would sometimes think, ’Oh, what would Charlie play on that? But you can’t really go there, you know? And Steve Jordan is the drummer and he’s like, he’s very special like Charlie So sometimes he plays what I think he imagines Charlie would just play to some degree, but still being his own guy, you know? And you’ve got to be your own guy. And he, he sounds great on this record but he does play some things that remind you of some of Charlie’s licks. Even so.” 9.
