Here, Jenkins talks about the scene in the film when Fonny (Stephan James) brings Tish to an empty, decrepit loft and invites her to imagine the life they could build there together. He explains why the scene is key in understanding their relationship, how he achieved the seamless, fluid camerawork within the confines of the loft, and how the elevated reality of Tish’s flashouts was achieved.
