I always start with positive, atmospheric and delicate sounds, often with instrumental motifs such as piano and light vocals, and over time move on to heavier and heavier tracks (but not as heavy as neurofunk or darkstep). You’ll find a lot of underground here, but also some mainstream music. In my work, I try to create a kind of journey through the genres of broadly understood Liquid Drum and Bass, which often goes through deep sounds, euphoric to rollers, and finally to more energetic Drum and Bass, to broken drums and Intelligent tracks. So if you’re not a fan of mellow or jazzy tracks and you prefer something more energetic, just wait until the mix develops or just skip ahead. I think that every Drum and Bass fan will find something for themselves here.
