A Whirl And A Spin With The Acro-Dancers (1930)

Andree and Curtis are the “acro-dancers“ featured in this story. In the Pathe studio the dancers perform an acrobatic dance routine. The dance incorporates lifts, twirls, spins, balletic steps and gymnastics. A dissolve is used for trick effect - suddenly Andree is standing up high on a podium. She jumps down and is caught by Curtis. “Slow motion shows in detail that risky leap into her partner’s arms.“ We see the jump again in slow motion. Was an item in Eve’s Film Review issue number 474.
