(Bandcamp release 12/21/23) When Winter Comes, written during a visit to Alaska, is high-energy alternative rock and features powerful, soaring female vocals, a blistering sax solo, galloping bass, an iconic guitar solo, and perfectly interwoven guitar tones. The song is topped off with driving drums to send you home crying. “When Winter Comes” imagines the closing stages of an argument between a couple in which the singer starts by defiantly telling her man as he leaves that she won’t apologize or compromise.
