Elvis Presley - An American Trilogy - 14 April 1972 Evening Show - Re-edited with Stereo audio

As most, if not all, Elvis fans know, this is the version of An American Trilogy featured in the 1972 documentary “Elvis - On Tour“. On 26 January 1972 Elvis introduced ’An American Trilogy’, a recent hit by Mickey Newbury and this would become one Elvis’ most iconic songs and a highlight of his live show. Despite never having recorded it in the studio, it would become synonymous with Elvis, and some of his performances of the song would make his love of his country obvious to all. With America’s bicentennial approaching, Elvis introduced America (The Beautiful) to his live set list for his December 1975 Las Vegas engagement, and he would specifically introduce the song by pointing out that this was why he was performing it. This song effectively replaced “Trilogy“ on the set list except for during Elvis’ show in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Bi-centennial Independence day where he performed both songs during the show. As with all of these videos, to get the most out of the re-edited audio, I highly recommend you
