Russian President Vladimir Putin gave an exclusive interview to NBC News’ Keir Simmons in Moscow, as seen in footage released on Monday.
During the interview, Putin touched upon several topics, including accusations of election interference, Alexei Navalny, and his previous meetings with US President Joe Biden.
In regards to accusations of Russia’s involvement in election interference and cyberattacks, Putin said that “not one time did they bother to produce any kind of evidence or proof,” before stating his surprise that Russia had “not yet been accused of provoking the Black Lives Matter movement”.
The Russian president also responded to the NBC journalist’s question on whether he could remember a previous meeting with Biden, in which Biden reportedly told him ”I’m looking into your eyes, and I can’t see a soul.“
Putin said he could not recall this conversation, before stressing that the subject of souls is “something for the church.”
