Two years after the revolution that toppled a dictator, is the impact of the change that took place at the top being felt on the ground? It has been two years since Omar Al-Bashir’s ouster in Sudan, and the political situation in the country remains tenuous. A sovereign transition council headed by Prime Minister Abdullah Hamdok is in charge until 2024, when an election should be held. The council is comprised of civilians and members of the military. Keeping a balance between the two sides when it comes to government decisions has proven to be a struggle. Here’s a look back at the revolution that brought about the change.
