Winners of the 2018 MBAS BPOY (Blues Performer Of The Year Band Category) which has won them a fully funded trip to Memphis to compete and represent Victoria Australia in the 2018 IBC Challenge. BPOY is the biggest blues achievement to be won in Australia and an incredible opportunity and honor to represent Australia overseas. The two musicians have collaborated and each written songs for their new album which they have recorded through The Teskey Brothers Studio (Half Mile Harvest). The album (self-titled Rhythm X Revival) has been received extremely well, earning the band number 4 position on the Australian Blues & Roots Airplay Charts in the albums first debut week which is no easy task! RXR in short are a foot tapping energy packed harmony drenched original band and a breath of fresh air of originality. John-Luke and Johnny have been reincarnated as Rhythm X Revival from their previous bands JLS & Co, High Speed Steel and The Three Tones. They have performed in festivals around Australia including the Echuca Winter Blues Festival, Broadbeach Blues Festival, the Queenscliff Music Festival, Bendigo Blues Festival, Wangaratta Jazz Festival and Mordialloc Food & Wine Festival just to name a few!
