Alex Rudinger - Animals As Leaders - “Do Not Go Gently“

A couple of years ago I recorded a cover of ’Tempting Time’. I had it on Youtube for awhile but inevitably took it down - I just wasn’t very happy with my performance and felt that I could have done it better. Since then I’ve gotten a lot of requests to put it back up so I finally decided to redo it. In addition to that tune, I thought it would be cool to do one off the bands new album. This particular song is my favorite on ’Weightless’ and was a lot of fun to learn. In fact, I may even do a few more covers off of Weightless in the future. This is also the first video I’ve uploaded with a completely natural kick drum. I’ll continue to trigger my bass drum in the future for songs with intricate foot parts and fast double bass, but for songs like this I much prefer the natural sound. I used an AKG D112.
